Mudfest is once again open for entries!

 

Screening every year on the 3rd weekend of March in the picturesque NSW central ranges town of Mudgee, Mudfest is renown for showcasing some of the best short films from around the globe and is the ideal place for new and seasoned filmakers alike to display their work.

 

Finalists are selected from the entries submitted. Every year over 500 films from every corner of the earth are submitted to Mudfest. Films may be any genre but must not be longer than 15mins in duration.

 

Entries for the 2011 Mudfest are now open, so what are you waiting for? With a total prize pool of over AU$6,000.00, there are some very good reasons to get your entry in.

Basic entry conditions are:

Selected films are in the running for the following awards and prizes:

 

Judges Choice: AU$3,000 cash and AU$500 of Elliot Rocke Estate Wine*

 

Peoples Choice: AU$500 cash

 

Best Australian Entry: $1,500 worth of Recording Media products , which not only includes all the video formats ( except HDCAM SR ) , but also 16 & 35 MM film courtesy of FUJIFILM.**

 

*Must be over 18 and an Australian resident to collect the wine component

 

** If the the judges choice is an Australian entry then this prize is automatically awarded to that entry, likewise, if the judges choice is an international entry but the peoples choice is Australian, then this prize will be awarded to the peoples choice winner. If no Australian entry is selected as either the judges choice or peoples choice, then the judges will make a decision on the best Australian entry screened on the night and that will be the winner of this prize.
